I don't know the entire history of 'em. I'm just a speck in the history of mankind, and they've been around a lot longer than me.

[ It really is all the most cryptic stuff ever, but it really boils down to the fact that Wolfwood doesn't know. It is some kind of higher existence that's beyond his ken, and apparently, he's just caught in the crossfire. ]
