[She follows her gaze and leans in a little...]

If we just, you know, borrowed this for a little while...

[She looks around at the other gondolas, some of which are manned by shadow-people... but this one? Empty. And inviting...]

Well... I don't think anyone would stop us...

... and if they did, we can just say we're sorry!

[She hops in the gondola, gracefully enough to not rock it too much.]

Oh, there's only one oar... [I discover as I google how gondolas work.] Do you want to try it?

We'll trade off. You can sit while I row, and then we'll switch.

[she will start trying to row the oar. she's strong but not very coordinated.]

...Yes. But usually in a situation more like escaping from danger.

Saillune is a landlocked country, and even on my travels, I haven't had the opportunity...

One day, I'd really like to sail across the sea, though!

It's not really a secret, but I guess I don't bring it up that much... I don't want people to think they should treat me any differently.

Really? I guess I haven't met that many princesses...

Oh. I've met a bunch and most of them are nuts. But I'm thinking more of princesses in stories.

You did mention meeting a few who were... kind of evil-sounding...

I don't think they're evil, exactly. They've just fallen under Snow White's cult like influence.

She might be a little evil, but she was also poisoned and buried alive in a glass box so it's hard to be too judgmental.

You have the right idea. Being a hero-princess is much better than regular princess.

That... does sound horrible, but...

Didn't you say something about ending the world? That's like, as evil as it gets!

Our world is sort of different than some of your worlds, I think. Maybe it's more like...if you knew the demons you fight controlled everything, in everyone's life, and no matter what you did, they probably always would.

If that was true, some people might think the world wasn't worth saving.
